The Entertainer

Bill Freeman NAV Company Chairman  continues to correspond on a regular basis with Max Bygraves OBE who now lives in Queensland Australia with his beloved wife Blossom.

Max very kindly sent Bill in January a copy of his new Double Album CD ‘Max Bygraves Remembers’ which was released on 15th October 2007 to celebrate his 85th birthday. Bill believes this new album is a masterpiece that says it all, it is a nostalgic triumph achievement for Max’s son Anthony Bygraves who has been responsible for the production of it. The content is a personally introduced history of Max’s entertainment career which is condensed into 120 minutes. As a special the CD has a bonus video track from Max’s Farewell Tour 2004 at Bournemouth.

In earlier correspondence Max refers to 1957 when he was appearing at the old Nottingham Empire, it was significant as he was contacted by Val Parnell with the news he was to make his first of a record 19 Royal Command Performances, the nearest to that he claims was the Crazy Gang with a mere 6!
