Chelsea FC first started broadcasting its matchday program in the 1990's throughout the concourses and corporate areas at Stamford Bridge. NAV were contracted to supply, install and support the first phase of their broadcasting facility.
The programming on Chelsea TV soon became renowned for its technical and content quality. Rapid expansion followed and the close season of 2000 saw NAV again contracted to re-design and relocate Chelsea Village TV into their current production suite.
Originally based on JVC's Broadcast D9 format, existing equipment was integrated with new to create an impressive set-up. The main production gallery had 16 channels of component vision mixing and 24 channel audio. A 'cool lit' interview studio was home to JVC broadcast Camcorders. A voice over booth and satellite encoding/distribution system completed this example of NAV System Installations work in the broadcast sector. |
